Ulceby

The North Lincolnshire village of Ulceby (Lat: 53:37N, Lon:0:19W) is situated on the eastern side of North Lincolnshire roughly equidistant from Grimsby and Scunthorpe. It is located on the A1077 which is an alternative route by road to Immingham Docks. The village is on the main path of air traffic to Humberside Airport (located 3 miles away).

The village has a population of approximately 1500[citation needed].

  • There are three churches in the village: the Anglican church of St Nicholas, Ulceby *Methodist Chapel and Ulceby Seventh-day Adventist Chapel.
  • There is a pre-school and primary school.
  • Ulceby railway station is located 1 mile from the centre of the village.
  • There is also: a village shop, a post office, a health centre, a village hall with a play equipment, a playing field, three pubs, a veterinary surgeon, a clothes shop, a hairdressers and a take-away food outlet.
