UKIB
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
United Kingdom Independent Broadcasting (or UKIB) is an affiliation of British independent television production companies and broadcasters. Its predecessor's (Independent Television Companies Association - ITCA) primary functions was to represent independent British television (i.e. non-BBC) interests as a member of the European Broadcasting Union. It was formed in the 1950s, but became redundant during the 1990s as the various ITV companies increasingly merged together into one whole organisation. ITCA was admitted as a full active EBU member, together with the Independent Broadcasting Authority (ITA) in 1959.
