[edit] Early History
The UK Theatre Network was conceived in January 2001, in Jersey, The Channel Islands, by actor and webmaster Douglas McFarlane. Douglas was on assignment for a major bank when he was trying to find a way to promote theatre to wider audiences using the Internet. He combined his skills in web development with a passion for theatre and the result was the UK Theatre Network.
