UFC 69: Shootout is an upcoming mixed martial arts event to be held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship. The event is currently scheduled for Saturday, April 7, 2007 at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas [1]. UFC 69: Shootout will be the first UFC event ever held inside the state of Texas.

Georges St. Pierre will be defending his welterweight title against The Ultimate Fighter 4 welterweight winner Matt Serra.[2] Josh Koscheck has confirmed that he is slated to fight top welterweight contender Diego Sanchez at UFC 69. Sanchez defeated Koscheck by split decision in the semi-finals of the original Ultimate Fighter 1 series in the middleweight division (as with all TUF bouts prior to the finals, this was an exhibition bout and is not on either fighter's record).[3]
