[edit] Interim Light Heavyweight Championship: Randy Couture vs Chuck Liddell

Couture becomes the Interim Light Heavyweight Champion, and the first person to win a title in two different weight divisions (Couture was a two-time Heavyweight Champion and now is currently the heavyweight champion for the third time as of March 3 2007). The fight was for the Interim Light Heavyweight Championship because current Light Heavyweight Champion, Tito Ortiz, was locked in a contract dispute with UFC and refused to fight number one contender, Chuck Liddell, until the issue was resolved.
