The Ufa Metro is a planned and oft-delayed subway system for Ufa, Russia. It has been planned since the late 1980s. On May 30, 1996, there was a ceremony marking the beginning of preparatory construction work. In 1998, the government decided to run the first trains by 2007. In 2004, this was delayed to 2010.
