The 2002-03 season of the European UEFA Champions League football club tournament was won by A.C. Milan in the first all-Italian final of the tournament, against Juventus, on penalties. The rossoneri clinched their 6th European title.

16 winners from the third qualifying round, 10 champions from countries ranked 1-10, and 6 second-placed teams from countries ranked 1-6 were drawn into 8 groups of 4 teams each. The top 2 teams in each group advance to the Champions League second group stage, while the third-placed teams advance to round three of the UEFA Cup.
Tiebreakers, if necessary, are applied in the following order:
- Points earned in head-to-head matches between the tied teams.
- Total goals scored in head-to-head matches between the tied teams.
- Away goals scored in head-to-head matches between the tied teams.
- Cumulative goal difference in all group matches.
- Total goals scored in all group matches.
- Higher UEFA coefficient going into the competition.
Teams that have clinched a spot in the Round of 16 are indicated in bold type.
Teams that have clinched a spot in the UEFA Cup are indicated in bold italics.
Teams eliminated from Europe are indicated in plain italics.
