[edit] Format change & possible mistakes
I've changed the format to make it easier to edit individual columns of the template. While doing so I checked against the lists of 4-star stadiums (two slightly different ones are available from [1] and [2]) and I noticed that some of the stadiums listed on this template are not in those lists. These are:
- King Baudouin Stadium
- Riverside Stadium
- Gottlieb-Daimler-Stadion
- Ramat Gan Stadium
- Stadio San Nicola
- Estadio Anoeta
Of course, the lists there may be out of date or mistaken. Can anyone supply me with a reliable source that say these are on the 4-star list? Else I will remove them. Qwghlm 23:05, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
- [3] lists the shortlist for hosting the 2008 Champions League and UEFA Cup finals, which might account for some of them. It depends on whether the 4/5 star status is a prerequisite, or if the status is assessed as part of the bidding process. Oldelpaso 19:45, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
- [4] says that only when a stadium owner actually applies to host a ground, does UEFA assess it to become part of the starring system. A decision on the 2008 finals is expected in October - maybe it will become clearer then. Qwghlm 20:55, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
- Since no-one was able to provide a reference for any of the above being 4-star rated, I have removed them. Qwghlm 21:08, 7 September 2006 (UTC)

St. Jakob Park is 4 star stadium. See FC Basel website (http://www.fcb.ch) or German wikipedia page (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/F%C3%BCnfsternestadion)
- That first link doesn't say it anywhere, and the second link cannot be used under WP:CITE - Wikipedia cannot be a source for itself. Have reverted. Qwghlm 09:12, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
- Okay, I agree with the second. However, if you look at the FC Basel Website (http://www.fcb.ch) >St. Jakob Park (left menu), it states: Auszeichnung: UEFA 4-Sterne Stadion / Best mögliches UEFA Label für ein Stadion dieser Grösse. Now, you can revert it to my version if you want, or you can let it be. I don't care. ::
Is Celtic Park not four star? Discosebastian 12:50, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
- The status of Celtic Park is unclear. Talk:Celtic Park has a lengthy discussion about it. Oldelpaso 13:45, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Riverside Stadium and St James' Park
Neither stadium has 4 star status. The Riverside applied for the 2008 UEFA Cup final, but has not received 4 star status (though it may do next time UEFA expand the list). In St. James' Park's case, IIRC it was denied 4 or 5 star status because the away dressing room is much smaller than the home one. Oldelpaso 10:19, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
