Udalguri is a town and a town area committee and a District in the Indian state of Assam. Earlier, it was a sub-division in Darrang District. But after Signing of Bodo Accord to end the demand for a Separate Bodoland State, An Autonomous District called BTAD (Bodoland Autonomous Area District) was creaed and Udalguri is now one of Four Districts under BTAD.

As of 2001 India censusGRIndia, Udalguri had a population of 14,893. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Udalguri has an average literacy rate of 74%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 80%, and female literacy is 67%. In Udalguri, 12% of the population is under 6 years of age.
