I think this UFO sighting should not be part of this page.

This page has some positive elements but important information, like population, area of the municipality, education, etc. are missing. I will try to improve the article in the next few days. A UFO sigting is only important if it is a major sighting in Brazil. Is it? Vogensen 08:34, 5 January 2006 (UTC)

I think I have improved the article a bit. The place sounds impressive. I frankly had no idea how much it had grown and become such an economic powerhouse. I remember it from the seventies when it was starting to grow and had around 100,000 people. Vogensen 22:07, 5 January 2006 (UTC)

I agree with you, this page definitely needs work. Please don't get me wrong: the information itself is ok, but the way is written sounds like a piece of propaganda from the city mayor's office. By the way, I live in Uberlandia since 2000, and although I travel a lot, my family's home is still there. CarlosRibeiro 02:33, 26 January 2006 (UTC)

Yes, the city is growing very very fast. 100,000 in 70´s and now 600,000 people. More than a half, maybe a third of population was not born in there. About the wiki, info is ok, but style is unnecessary "propagandistic". It was very fun to read, it appears the writer is trying hard to convince, when there is not appropriate to write this way. Unfortunately, I cannot help by writing something better. Hope someone can!
