Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara, usually known as Tecos (short for tecolotes, or owls in English) or UAG, is a Mexican professional football club associated with the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara. UAG plays in the Primera División de México. The club holds home games in the Estadio 3 de Marzo (Stadium Third of March, the University's anniversary: inaugurated in 1935), located in Zapopan, a municipality in the metropolitan area of Guadalajara.

According to Manuel Buendía a secret society at the university also goes by the name Tecos and is formed by students and some faculty, to spy on the student community inside the university. As university members, they tend to be a more privileged lot than other people; some claim that society members even get more than the average student. UAG Tecos are one of three top flight teams in Guadalajara, winning the national championship once, and 2 international championships. UAG Tecos were runner up in the Clausura 2005 after losing to Club America in the second game 6-3
