U.S. Route 50 Alternate or US 50A is a signed, yet unofficial east-west United States Highway in California. It diverges from US 50 at Pollock Pines and ends at the foot of Meyers Grade near Lake Tahoe.

Its alignment follows Sly Park Road to Mormon Emigrant Trail, National Forest Highway 5, SR-88, SR-89 until it merges back with US-50.

It is primarily used for a designated alternate route for US 50 when it is closed due to floods, mudslides or snowstorms.
