U.S. Route 422 Business is a 7 mile long auxiliary route of U.S. Route 422 located in the Reading, Pennsylvania area. The route is one of four auxiliary routes of US 422 in Pennsylvania. Its western terminus is at an interchange with U.S. Route 222 and US 422 in Wyomissing. Its eastern terminus is at an interchange with US 422 in Reiffton.

The route starts at its western termini near Sinking Spring at an intercgange with U.S. Route 222 and 422. Then heads east as Penn Avenue and enters the borough of West Reading, PA. Its still Penn Avenue in West Reading. Penn Avenue crosses a lot of traffic lights before getting to Reading, PA. Then Bus. US 422 makes an interchange with its parent U.S. Route 422, crosses the Schuylkill River, and enter the city of Reading. It becomes Penn Street before Bus. US 422 divides. Business U.S. Route 422: Westbound comes from 2nd street and eastbound also turns right onto 2nd Street. Then eastbound turns onto Franklin Street. In central Reading, Franklin Street crosses Business U.S. Route 222 that's 5th Street. Then Franklin Street merges onto Perkimen Avenue that reunites eastbound and westbound of Bus. US Route 422. Then the route leaves Reading and meets with Pennsylvania Route 562. Then it ends at an interchange with U.S. Route 422.
