U. L. Washington

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

U. L. Washington (born October 27, 1953 in Stringtown, Oklahoma) was a Major League Baseball player from 1977 to 1987 for the Kansas City Royals, Montreal Expos, and Pittsburgh Pirates. Washington's first two initials do not stand for anything.[citation needed] He played mostly as a shortstop during his career.

A toothpick was a constant fixture in the corner of his mouth while on the field and at the plate.
