U1 (Berlin U-Bahn)

U1 is a line on the Berlin U-Bahn. The eastern portion is the oldest part of the network, opened in 1902, and runs as an elevated railway between Warschauer Straße and Gleisdreieck. The original route also included Stralauer Tor station, which closed permanently in 1945 after being badly damaged during World War II.
