Location
The USA is a country that is in the range of the northwest hemisphere. Two countries and two oceans border it. They are the Pacific Ocean, the Atlantic Ocean, Canada, and Mexico. There are 2 states that do not connect with the other states in the main land. They are Alaska and Hawaii. Hawaii is bordered by the Pacific Ocean. Alaska is bordered by only Canada and the Pacific Ocean. Alaska is the most northern state in USA and the most southern is Florida.
Physical characteristics
USA is the 3rd largest country in the world with a total area more than 9.5 million km2. It is made up of 50 states. Its general landscape varies from each state. For example: Florida has lots of plains in order to grow the tropical fruits like oranges where Alaska and Hawaii has big mountains (or volcanoes). The grasslands are mostly at the east, Rocky Mountains at the west, and barren places are at the southwest. The Appalachian Mountains lives at the southeast of USA. Its height rises more than 6000 (1830m) feet in the air and it spreads through North Carolina, Tennessee, and New Hampshire. The Rocky Mountains rises 8000, more than the Appalachians Mountain. The two mountains mountain ranges are at the opposite side of each other.
Climate
The average climate is mostly like ours but a little rainier. All of the east side of USA has an average precipitation of 60.1 inches-25.5inches. The west side mostly is dry so it has around 5.1 inches-24inches of rain. Death Valley is the driest place in USA with a average rainfall of only 2.3 inches in 1 year while Hawaii rates the most rainfall with an average rainfall of 460 inches of rainfall in 1 year! Alaska is the most coldest state of all states in USA because it is more north, Hawaii and Florida is the most tropical area which is good for growing fruits, and the rest has less snow than Canada because it is closer the equator.
Economy
The economy of USA is a mixed economy of different things such as private owned economy and state owned business. Private owned means everything about property meaning the ownership rights. It is important to every country because if they don’t have a fair trade, they won’t have what they need and value. Countries will go bankrupted. GDP is also related and it represents gross domestic product. It means the value of the market good and services. State-own means Government-own Corporation. It is a legal thing to exercise the power of the government. What I mean is that the government is gaining more control over the city. Most of the states have this. Their money value is more than ours. One dollar in Canada equals 0.8737 dollars in the USA. That means that when a person From the US is taking a tour to Canada, he would say that it would be very cheap if he found out a way to convert some or all of the money. Different places will have a very important reason for that place. In order to have a very good trade, you need to give your trading partner something they need. In return, they will give you something that you value more than others. The US has 3 main ingredients for creating a good trade. They are: natural resources like minerals, investing and manufacturing such as a mass production on corporations like General electricity, and labor such as slaves. USA has a lot of minerals like Canada and also has a lot of fertile farm soil/land. Culture
The US has a big variety of cultures since immigrants came to the US to have some freedom like Canada. Christian one of the main culture use in the entire North America. 52% is Christian, 24.5% is Roman Catholic, 1.4% is Judaism, 0.6 is Islam, 0.5 is Buddhism, and 0.4 is Hinduism. 14.2 said that they had no religion. 5.4 didn’t want to elect so the remaining survey is unknown.
Population

· USA is the only country that grows oranges in the whole entire North America. · Right now, it is working on it’s military. The war of Iraq settled with USA winning the Iraq for its mass quantities of crude oil. However the majority of the US citizens oppose this war. · M. McKinley is the highest peak in USA reaching a height of 6194 meters. The lowest point below sea level is Death valley reaching 84 meters below the sea level and it is the driest place in USA. · The largest freshwater lake is lake Michigan. The longest ricer in the USA is the Mississippi river, which is 6019 meters long. · The Great Salt lake is the Saltiest lake in the world.
