Sockpuppets of Anthony Head

The problem centres around the article Karen Connelly. Five editors have adopted a similar approach to this article, which consists of inserting unreferenced material negative to the subject. This includes referring to her as a "minor" writer, saying an award she was given was "controversial", saying that her work is "self serving" and alleging that she had at one stage done illegal work.

The nature of the contributions and the edit patterns and dates indicate these accounts are all operated by the same person. They have been used to give the impression of several editors with the same viewpoint in Karen Connelly and have thus been used in contravention of policy.

I have treated Anthony Head as the main user, as he has a wider time spread of edits and made the last post.

Contributions
About 25 edits in total, seemingly good ones, apart from KC. 3 edits to KC. Blanks the article 30 September.[1] Abusive vandal edit on October 19,[2] and also on October 22.[3] On August 4 inserted legitimate material with negative tinge and described her as "minor".[4]

Almost certainly an IP address used by the same editor as Anthony Head. Blocked for one week.

[edit] Anthony Head

Contributions.
All edits to Karen Connelly. 4 on August 7, and 2 on August 14. First edit inserted "controversial" in inappropriate place,[6] then changed it to more pejorative "disputed".[7] Edit on August 14 called her "minor".[8] On August 24, he made 2 edits, one to the article and one to talk, where he says, "a self-serving streak in Connelly, an egotism and self-centeredness".[9]

Blocked for one week as puppetmaster.

[edit] Alice of Wonderland

Contributions.
3 edits in total, all to KC on August 16. Seemingly legitimate info put into the biog, but giving it a negative slant.[10] Since then there have been 4 more edits, 1 on user talk page to respond to me, 1 on the article, 2 on the article talk page. The 1 on the article, on August 23, describes Connelly as working "illegally".[11] 1 on the talk page on the same day starts, "I have to agree with Uberall", and stresses "minor" writer".[12]

[edit] Uberall

Contributions. Edits on August 20 and 21. First edit to Karen Connelly, reinstates "minor" poet, with the edit summary "adding relevant and generally held consensus to date". [13] After this edit and three KC talk edits, he inserts "minor" into Aritha van Herk article.[14]

In KC talk, he deleted a comment made by Victoriagirl on the talk page about the Aritha van Herk article edit by him.[15] He then made nearly 30 edits to other articles on writers, mainly to insert the word "major" or "minor", presumably to prove a point.
