Tyrone Wheatley (born January 19, 1972 in Inkster, Michigan) is an American former professional football player who was selected by the New York Giants in the first round (17th overall) of the 1995 NFL Draft. Wheatley played in ten NFL seasons from 1995-2004. He played college football at Michigan and led the Wolverines to a Rose Bowl victory in 1993 where he was named the game's most valuable player. Wheatley's best year as a pro came during the 2000 NFL season as a member of the Oakland Raiders when he rushed for 1,046 yards and 9 touchdowns. Wheatley was in the Miami Dolphins training camp and got cut, before he began his run with Oakland.
