Tyrone Wells is a singer/songwriter in the folk pop genre from Chino Hills, California. His songs have been featured in television shows (Rescue Me), One Tree Hill, Northshore, What About Brian, Numbers, the Mountain, Windfall, Wildfire, Ghost Whisperer, Bedford Diaries, Three Moons over Milford, Meet the Barkers, and film (Everyone's Hero).

Tyrone set a record in 2006 at the National Association for Campus Activities for most college and university bookings in the history of the Convention from a single showcase.

Tyrone was born in Seattle and raised in Spokane, Washington. While attending Hope International University in Southern California Tyrone joined the band Skypark. Skypark went on to release four eclectic and interesting albums. Skypark worked with producers Ed Stasium and Thom Roy.

In 2000 Tyrone launched his solo career, playing regular acoustic shows in Orange County, California, where he and a small movement of folk, pop and urban folk artists including Mike Barnet, Danny Vasquez and Jaycob Van Auken formed a loose coalition called True American Records.

In 2006 Tyrone signed a recording contract with Universal Records. They re-released his independent album Hold On on the internet in 2006, and released it in stores on Feb. 6th 2007.

In his solo project, Tyrone has worked with producers Chris Karn and Marc Ford.
