[edit] Story

According to interviews given by the developers of the game, Tyrannosaurus Tex would have followed the story of a Cowboy named Tex fighting aliens and the namesake of the game, dinosaurs.

[edit] Technology

The last known testing of the game outside of then Slitherine Software was made by IGN's staff, while the game was still in a very early stage. Even then the engine was finished and running on the Game Boy Color.

The game went into many graphical phases, mainly concerning sprites that would have composed the enemies and the weapons handled by the player.

The most advanced technology the game held was its multiplayer mode, which would have allowed two players to play simultaneously through a cable link. Many features were added to the multiplayer mode, including different characters with different abilities.

[edit] Cancellation

The game was cancelled due to the lack of a developer willing to publish the game. After the cancellation, Slitherine Software changed its name to Slitherine Strategies and started producing strategy games.
