Typhoon Sonamu

The name Sonamu has been the name of two tropical cyclones in the western north Pacific Ocean. The name was submitted by North Korea and is a Korean word for pine.
- 2000's Typhoon Sonamu - came close to Japan without making landfall.
- 2006's Tropical Storm Sonamu - a weak system that was sheared by its proximity to the previous system; not a threat to land.
