Singles in tennis is the body of competition that features individual players competing one-on-one. There are separate singles competitions for men and women. The singles competition exists in counterdistinction to doubles.
Doubles features two players on each side.
Mixed doubles is a style of tennis match that features four players on the court: one man and one woman on each side. Like all doubles matches, it utilizes a wider court than singles matches.
