Type 99 (camouflage)

Type 99 is a camouflage pattern used by People's Liberation Army of the People's Republic of China.
The main variant is a four-color woodland pattern with olive, green, yellowish-green and black. Type 99 has been criticized for its use of black, but once faded, it becomes dull and subdued, and therefore virtually unnoticable.
Type 99 camouflage is used by PLA and developed many variants. For example, there is Type 87, Type 95, Type 03, so on and so forth.
An obvious mock-up of American woodland camouflage[citation needed], Type 99 camouflage is slightly different in its color configuration, as the American BDU does not contain a yellowish-green color. As of right now, Type 99 remains the standard utility or field uniform of the PLA.
