The Type 54 is a Chinese clone of the Soviet type Tokarev T-33. It is a 7.62mm pistol, and also known as "Black Star Pistol".

Because they could be easily obtained from the black market, the "Black Stars" were usually equipped by criminals for commiting crimes.
