Image

I've gone ahead and posted a NRL image of Ewiniar at peak intensity, since there's no NASA imagery available yet. It can be removed when better imagery is found. --Coredesat talk. o.o;; 07:52, 6 July 2006 (UTC)

Never mind, adding the image now screws up the infoboxes. --Coredesat talk. o.o;; 07:56, 6 July 2006 (UTC)

I've found an image from NASA at this link. [1] But the picture seems to be in low-resolution, and I can't seem to find a way to get a higher resolution image. What do you think about that image? And can you find a way to get a bigger image? Alastor Moody (talk) 23:36, 6 July 2006 (UTC)

See the discussion on the season page. Note its not clear whether the article will remain in the long term or not.--Nilfanion (talk) 23:41, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
I seem to like your high-resolution image of Ewiniar at Cat.3, even though it is not at pek intensity. But the problem is, someone may have to update the image since I don't really know how to. Alastor Moody (talk) 00:26, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
Done. -Loren 01:44, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

Ewiniar's eye

I saw some images, Ewiniar is doing strange things with it eye. I can't confirm this as a eyewall replacment eycle but sometimes the eye suddenly appear and disspear after weakening into a Category 3 typhoon. Irfanfaiz 13:01, 6 July 2006 (UTC)

The eyes of tropical cyclones become clouded over at times, usually while weakening. It's still there, it's harder to find. --Coredesat talk. o.o;; 18:35, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
The eye is larger, i confirm that as an eyewall replacement cycle. Irfanfaiz 05:17, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
Are you a meteorologist? How can you "confirm" anything? Chacor 14:20, 9 July 2006 (UTC)

910hPa

NRL listed it's minimal pressure is 910 mbar, should i update the infobox? Irfanfaiz 13:04, 6 July 2006 (UTC)

Either that or the JMA's 920mbar. íslenska hurikein #12 (samtal) 13:08, 6 July 2006 (UTC)

Class

Rather than having this be a Stub class, I think that current storms should just be class-less until the storm is finished. --Hurricanehink (talk) 13:03, 8 July 2006 (UTC)

Merge

I have merged whatever was not redundant back into the main article. This storm has done little, and all info can be contained within the main article. Unless this becomes like Chanchu, it should not have an article. Chacor 14:20, 9 July 2006 (UTC)

Yea, I was considering bringing that up, but I figured because it's going to hit Korea tomorrow there's no harm in keeping it. However, it will probably do little now due to its weakening. --Hurricanehink (talk) 18:23, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
