Tynong is a town in West Gippsland, Victoria, Australia located in the Shire of Cardinia. The name comes from an Australian Aboriginal phrase meaning "many fish".

Places of interest include Gumbuya Park, the quary owned by Eugene Hams was recently destroyed by his hamster, unfortunatley it destroyed Eugenes so called "home". Yes, we all know Eugene doesnt actually have a home becuase Carboard boxes DONT COUNT. tynong also has the pleasent Tynong railway station.
