Tyler Prochnow was the Founder, Co-Owner and President of the Kansas City Brigade. Prior to launching the Brigade, Tyler served as the Founder and President of Golden Peak Sports & Entertainment, a full service sports representation agency that works with clients in various sports, including Deion Sanders, Neil Smith, and Olympians Amy Van Dyken and Aly Wagner. In 2004, at the request of one of their NFL clients, Prochnow began to explore the Arena Football League as an investment opportunity for others. Upon discovering the fan-centric, family friendly nature of the AFL game, Prochnow decided to pursue the acquisition of a franchise for Kansas City. While initially approved to launch the franchise in 2007, Tyler and his group stepped up a year early when Hurricane Katrina prohibited the New Orleans VooDoo from playing during the 2006 AFL season. With just four months from being awarded the franchise to opening day, the Brigade had one of the shortest turnaround times in sports history. Despite the limited time to build a franchise, the Brigade was an unparalleled success. The team finished their first AFL season ranked third in average attendance and led the league in merchandise sales. At the end of the 2006 season, Prochnow sold his stake in the team to local businessman Chris Likens who took over operations. Prochnow has since gone back to running Golden Peak Sports and various other business ventures.

On the personal side, Mr. Prochnow graduated from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Georgia in 1988 with a degree in political science and a minor in economics. After several years working in politics with a stint in the White House, Tyler went back to school and obtained his law degree from the University of Denver College of Law. Tyler worked as an attorney specializing in marketing and advertising law for eight years before starting Golden Peak. Mr. Prochnow has lectured on the topic of Marketing and Advertising Law around the country and has been a legal commentator on various sports related issues for media outlets. Tyler is a member in good standing of the NFLPA as a certified contract advisor. He is married to Ann Tierney Prochnow , a native of Kansas City, and they live there with their two children, Connor and Sophia and their golden retriever Dakota.
