My name is Dave Vellante. I've been an analyst in the IT business since the mid-1980's with expertise in storage, enterprise systems, software, services and industry history. I am relatively new to Wikipedia but have made substantive contributions to the following articles:

As a former industry analyst I followed these and many other companies continuously for over a decade. I visited their operations and factories hundreds of times and personally knew their CEO's, many key managers, several employees and many of thier customers. I watched most of the firms cited in these articles grow from garage operations to multi-billion dollar companies and have a good historical and factual perspective on them.

Inspired by Wikipedia and its tremendous contribution to the greater good, I am one of the founders of the Wikibon project.
