Twinsburg High School is a public high school in Twinsburg, Ohio. It is the only high school in the Twinsburg City Schools district.
The community was growing, more families were moving in and schools were over crowded. The Board of Education decided that it was time for a new high school. The high school would have to be bigger and better than the last. Twinsburg High School was in the planning for over three years. Planning sessions and trips to other high schools took place before any one even picked up a tool. After planning was finished and the land was bought, the District started construction on the school that would cost $36 million.
Construction of the school and attached city fitness center took three years. During those three years, the school board and community decided that since the population was growing so quickly, that there should be an additional pod on the building. This pod would be a shell and not finished inside until needed.
Twinsburg High School was finished in the dead of winter, January 1999. With only a couple of days left in winter break everything from the "old" high school, R. B. Chamberlin, was moved over to the new building and on January 3rd, 1999 the school was opened to staff and students. R. B. Chamberlin became the middle school for 7th and 8th graders.
The unfinished pod from 1999 was built out during the Spring and Summer of 2006. It was open to the staff and student body for the 2006-2007 school year.
Twinsburg High School also offer's vocational education training at Cuyahoga Valley Career Center.
