[edit] Marvel U.K. Comics

Twin Twist made several appearances in the Marvel U.K. comic as a member of the Wreckers lead by Springer.

In issue 99 Marvel U.K. Transformers comic, a story called Under Fire has Optimus Prime arrived on Cybertron, only to be captured by Ultra Magnus. Thanks to misinformation fed to the Autobots by Megatron, they believed this Optimus Prime to be an imposter and Decepticon spy. Ultra Magnus was about to have Optimus Prime executed by Springer, Roadbuster and Twin Twist when Outback intervened and freed Optimus. Ratbat reported the escape to Megatron, who was goaded for his failure by the head of Lord Straxus. Megatron then ordered Octane to have the Decepticons hunt down Optimus and leak word that the Decepticons were hunting down their failed spy. Ultra Magnus and three Guardian Units hunted down Optimus and Outback. Although Optimus defeated two of the Guardian Units, they nearly killed Outback during the fight.

[edit] Dreamwave Productions

Twin Twist is the brother of Topspin. When civil war broke out on the planet Cybertron between the Autobots and Decepticons, Topspin joined the Autobot cause.

When Decepticon leader Megatron and Autobot leader Optimus Prime disappeared in an accident with a space bridge, the Autobot and Decepticon forces splintered into smaller factions. Twin Twist joined up with the Wreckers under the leadership of Springer.

Springer lead the Wreckers to a mission in the Tagan Heights, suspecting that Ratbat's Ultracons were attempting to secure the Heights. His team discovered that Devastator had joined the Ultracons. The Wreckers faced Devastator in combat, but were defeated. The battle was then joined by the Protectabots, who formed Defensor (Transformers: The War Withing - The Dark Ages #2).

Eventually Ultra Magnus was able to reunite the Autobot factions, and Topspin rejoined the Autobots.

After the Great Shutdown Topspin and Twin Twist served as bodyguards for Shockwave, but were secretly loyal to Ultra Magnus.

[edit] IDW Publishing

Twin Twist appeared in issue #2 of the Stormbringer series by IDW Publishing. Twin Twist aided Springer's Wreckers on the planet Varas Centralus in the Kol system when Optimus Prime redeployed the Wreckers for a mission on Cybertron. He fought the cultists under Bludgeon and later fought Thunderwing himself (in defiance of Springer's orders), drilling into the side of its' leg. Unfortunately the insane Decepticon promptly stomped on Twin Twist, crushing him. Whether he survived or not is unknown.

[edit] Toys

Twin Twist is a Jumpstarter, an Autobot from the second year of the Transformers toy line whose gimmick was a pull back motor and the ability to transform himself. He transforms by releasing his spring loaded legs, which flips him over, landing on his oversized feet. The toy that became Twin Twist is from the Diaclone toy line in Japan made by Takara.

A recolor of Twin Twist was sold in South America in 1985 under the name Salt-Man Z.

Twin Twist was repainted at the 2001 Dairycon exclusive character Uncle Whiskey Breath.
