Twilight Festival

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Twilight Festival is a weekly event held every Thursday in June and September in downtown Columbia, Missouri. This festival features live music from a variety of local and non-local groups as well as an opportunity to browse through the 110 local shops or the 70 restaurants, bars, and pubs in Columbia's district.

Music groups perform from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the William Woods Concert Stage, which is located next to the Boone County Courthouse. Groups that have performed in the past include Guster, Del Alma, and the Follow. Other attractions that have graced the stage include the tryouts for the contest Mid-Missouri Idol.

Free carriage rides transport citizens to all areas of the district and pick up riders at Columbia's Flat Branch Park. Additionally, the Columbia Transit bus has routes that will take Columbia residents directly to downtown via the Brown Route, which has been dubbed the Downtown Orbiter.
