[edit] Regarding Tone
I've noticed that every so often when I view this article, it contains some statements that are rather biased, use weasel words, sound like advertisements, etc. Therefore, I would appreciate it if we could keep this NPOV. Additionally, is it necessary to include the member profiles? Those in general don't seem very reliable or verifiable and detract from the overall tone that Wikipedia's articles are supposed to have. Thanks! --Michelleyy 02:02, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
- Word. This page is MESSY, although I'm assuming that this page was written by non-native English speakers. If they ARE English speakers...woah. But most Korean pop articles are like this; look at H.O.T.. SKS2K6 03:58, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Title
Why is it under TVXQ? Is that their official name? SKS2K6 07:38, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
- That's what i was thinking.. I thought it was dong bang shin ki.. mirageinred 17:36, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
- Well the official site address is tvxq.com, and that's the best information we have. It doesn't blatantly state its official name. mirageinred 17:39, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
- Their official name is 東方神起, and the romanization would be Tong Vfang Xien Qi: TVXQ. It's strange that they use a chinese name though they are a korean band.. but in korea they use Dong Bang Shin Ki xD TLflow 20:05, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
- They have different names for different countries. TVXQ is their official name for most English-speaking countries. Since this is the English Wiki, TVXQ would be most appropriate to put it under. East.sea 00:15, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
- TVXQ is their official international name. For all I know, Korea rarely uses the romanization and instead chooses to use the official characters/Korean characters. The idea behind the Chinese characters is that SM ENT intended for the band's fame to spread to all of Asia and so the company chose to use the Chinese characters since China is the largest country in Asia. Gloriouskies 23:53, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
-
- lol, which makes it all the more silly, considering the proper pinyin acronym would be DFSQ. even if it weren't in pinyin and instead in another romanization system, (even for a non-mandarin dialect), the "X" and "Q" are distinctively pinyin-only. few other romanization schemes for east asian languages use those letters to represent initial consonants.71.232.100.151 19:37, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
-
-
- oh, and "V" doesn't exist at all in pinyin.
-
-
-
- I think that's true too cause it can apply to Hanja and Kanji at the same time. But then again - Kanji doesn't always have the same meaning as the original Chinese characters so same meaning idea might not hold true. Gloriouskies 03:58, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
-
Dong Bang Shin Ki, Tong Vfang Xien Qi,or DBSG, it really dosen't matter because all these names belong to the group. The only difference is that these names for DBSK are from all over the world.
[edit] Not NPOV
The heading's pretty self-explanatory, I think. mirageinred 05:40, 14 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Are they really an a capella group?
My understanding is that they were just marketed that way. They're really a just boy band who does pop/bubblegum music. mirageinred 22:01, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
Yeees, they're acapella and they're really, really good at this. So beautiful!!! (Yuko)
fan girls...—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Chiaren (talk • contribs) 21:07, February 12, 2007.
- but how many of their songs really have serious acapella in them? Just wondering. It just seems like they were marketed that way. mirageinred 00:34, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
- They are just marketed that way. However, their Christmas album was mostly acapella, so.... I'd leave it as is for now, in terms of what to call them. Just because they suck at it doesn't mean that they can't believe that they are. Just kidding.... :P SKS2K6 05:36, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
- Not only that but most of their albums and singles include at least a few acapella tracks. (Maira)
- They are a 'dance acapella group' not a acapella.Which is why they have dance songs....and acapella songs. They even make MV for thier acapella songs such as 'my little princess','My Destiny','Always There', and 'Whatever They Say'. (Maria) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.82.69.240 (talk) 02:30, 5 March 2007 (UTC).
[edit] Vacation OST
Thanks for whoever updated on their drama series. But is anyone going to add Vacation OST to their albums? It would belong under 'other' right? I mean it is a Korean album but I think it would go under other since it's an OST. I would but I don't know how to. (Maira)
_Edit. Forget it. I used common sense and finally figured it out. I hope the picture isn't too big. xD
[edit] Citation Needed
I know that some members are of Christian faith (like YunHo), but I'm not sure that they all are. Does anyone have a citation for that? (Maira)
I noticed that someone added stuff that argues that all five members are Christians without source. What's wrong with being Buddhist or atheist (being an atheist myself), and why should their religon matter so much anyways? Keep that for discussion, 154.5.164.152, and let's look for reliable sources. mirageinred 22:55, 26 August 2006 (UTC)
Oh no! I didn't mean for it to sound as if I added that. I just read it so I was wondering if the person who did add it had a reliable source available. I think YunHo is Christian, but I thought that the majority were Buddhist. I'm not Christian myself I'm a Muslim. (Maira)
- Hey, I know you didn't add that, but their religion keeps on changing back and forth, especially on Hero and Max's profile. mirageinred 19:38, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
Should religion be deleted until there's a reliable resource? A possible edit war might start. mirageinred 22:54, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
I'm smelling another edit war over religion... mirageinred 00:31, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
I've heard Max say that he's Buddhist in many talk shows ans radio segments... U-know is a known Christian and so are Micky and Xiah. Jaejoong keeps flipping between Buddhist/Atheist/Christian. Honestly, isn't it better to put int "Unknown" or something for what we're not sure of?
- If it's unknown, then there's no point in putting religion in first place. mirageinred 00:27, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
Jaejoong said himself that he was an Atheist. It was during one of those 100 questions. It says this: " 32.) religion: atheist" Is that okay to add? Jaejoong himself never said anything about becoming a Christian. So far I've only heard fans say this. (Maria)
The 100 questions were from quite a while ago, I think.
[edit] hobbies are deleted.
for now. I thought they were unencylopedic and seemed more like a trivia. If anyone thinks otherwise, he/she can add it back, I guess. mirageinred 14:26, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Do the members deserve an individual page?
the pre-fame section is clogged up with their individual history and how they got to join TVXQ. Do they need a new page? Not that I know much about them. mirageinred 14:27, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
I think they deserve seperate pages. It would give others a more in-depth background on the members as individuals. -Maira
- Hmmm.. I think if you're going to continue to contribute here, you should make a new account. And I honestly don't know much about them at all. I'm going to need more than myself to start a new page.. so wanna help? mirageinred 05:19, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
- I'm not sure if they deserve individual pages or not. Although they are individually more popular than the members of Super Junior, SJ needed it because they're so big. As for TVXQ...what have they done as individuals so far? SKS2K6 06:08, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

- Hmmm.... mirageinred 06:28, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] 1st Live Concert Album
I noticed it wasn't on there for some reason. I added it, hope no one minds!
- Cool. Thank you. I don't know why it wasn't there either. mirageinred 01:04, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Current News?
I added a current news section just to inform others of what the group is doing recently. I'll up-date it whenever there's new news and delete those that have gotten old. But what should it be titled? When I created the section, someone changed the title, so I changed it to something simpler than both previous ones.
-Off topic- September 20th marked 1000 days since debut for TVXQ ^0^ Also, the cover & tracklisting for their 3rd Korean album was released today; the album will consist of a DVD and poster as well. I can't wait!
- That's great, but please keep it NPOV. mirageinred 19:19, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
- I realize that you're new, but this is not the place to advertise where people can buy their albums. If you want to stay, it's a lot easier to make your own account, btw. mirageinred 01:21, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry, I wasn't aware; I won't advertise again. Actually I have one, but I don't know how to sign my name with it.. (embarassing >.<). I'm going to up-date the title & discography since it was officially released (including the tracklisting)! (sorry I must sound insane, it's just that I'm a huge fan)
-
- Hey, it's cool. Just sign with four tildes like this: ~~~~. mirageinred 19:24, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
-
-
- Oh, thanks! :) I made my first page for Zhang Li Yin (Jang Ri In) yesterday, but my computer crashed so I wasn't able to add citation for anything. =/ But thanks again! I'll try to help with the individual member pages when my computer's back up. Sinbihaeyo 22:00, 23 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Requesting citations..
This especially applies to the pre-fame section. Where is the information coming from? The official website certainly doesn't provide this information. I think this problem lies in the fact that most information come from unofficial online fan cafes or forums which require registration, but there must be one accesible source. mirageinred 03:45, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Regarding TVXQ Discography
Regarding TVXQ Discography, TVXQ already released more than 20 albums. So i had created a new page for TVXQ Discography, so that the TVXQ page will looks more tidy.
-Thank you!!
- Uh... Is this Sinbihayeo? Sure seems like it. Well nice job=) mirageinred 23:27, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Profile Pictures
I changed the profile pictures. I thought the last pictures didn't show enough.Yukare129 17:20, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
- I'm not sure who changed the profile pictures (again) but thank you; I think that the pictures should show what they look like now (most recently) instead of older ones.
- Note to whoever uploaded the pics: they'll be deleted without a full copyright tag. SKS2K6 03:29, 8 October 2006 (UTC)
-
- I know one of the policies of wikipedia is not to bite newcomers but you must tag them accordingly, explain the sources of the picture and why it qualifies for fair use. Or as SK said they are going to be gone in no time. mirageinred 13:45, 8 October 2006 (UTC)

- Thanks for changing the profile pics and the group pic! the last pics were really old.. TLflow 21:22, 8 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Trivia
Since a lot of the editing deals with things like weight...I say we remove them. The weight of a person is trivial, and it changes frequently, so specific numbers are pointless. SKS2K6 06:13, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
- Yep. I think blood type should be removed too despite what many k-pop enthusiasts like to think.. mirageinred 18:00, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] woot woot
finally there are some sources... for a page this big, we probably need 10-15 more? mirageinred 00:47, 21 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] What the hell does this mean?
The woman, whose surname is Ko, left a note that stated that everytime TVXQ came on, viewers changed the channel right next to the drink which was there when he was filming a variety show. She said that she did not suspect that anyone would drink it so she was not permanently charged because they did not think it was homicide. It sounds like awkward translation from a Korean news article or something. I wish I could see the original. mirageinred 14:59, 21 October 2006 (UTC)
- There's a part that's been removed. She states something along the lines of 'whenever they appear on the screen people change the channel', and only little kids like them. I actually have a picture of the original letter as well as the drink (screencaps from KBS News) I'll send it to you on your user page. I'm going to try to type up the letter..
Sinbihaeyo 02:57, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
- A couple typos in your writing but I can understand. Thank you. I cited the letter in the article. Really clarifies a lot. mirageinred 22:01, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Vacation...?
How can there be four stories total, one for each member, when there are 5 of them? Was one missing at the moment? Was it during Hero's injury?SKS2K6 21:48, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
- Perhaps U-know? mirageinred 21:49, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
-
- I don't know...but this (VACATION consisted of four episodes (including a special) which were broadcasted at Yonsei University on July 7 to August 8, 2006. Each episode portrayed four different stories for each individual DBSK member. For this drama, the band recorded an original soundtrack which consisted of two tracks (and their instrumental versions).) should be corrected. :P SKS2K6 21:51, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

- That's good. But what's this about Yonsei University? Was it only played there? Was it filmed there? Because right now, it just seems like they only played it there and not on national TV. This has to be clarified. SKS2K6 23:11, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
-
-
-
-
-
-
- It was filmed throughout S. Korea and shown only in theatres at Yonsei university (so it wasn't shown on national TV)--in S. Korea, a theatrical TV Drama isn't shown on television, per se. It's like an upgraded TV drama, with better camera and sound quality so they need an actual theatre to show it. Vacation is planned to be released on DVD sometime in the future for people who were not able to see it in theatres (no cameras or cell phones were allowed in, so you won't see bootlegs on the internet besides the official previews released by SM or written summaries by fans who attended). [edit] Regarding Cleanup Tag
Since this probably needs to be discussed in order to be cleaned up, what parts of this article should one edit to be cleaned up? Is it filled with useless or unremarkable information? Or NPOVed? Too long?... Oncamera 12:44, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
- Here are some of the problems I see.
- informal tone here and there
- absence of sources (at least 20 recommended but thats just my opinion)
- disproportionate section on their popularity. yet nothing describes their music
- no section on criticism despite the number of critics in korea mirageinred 21:49, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
-
- By the way, it's not too long. We're good for now unless it becomes as long as BoA. mirageinred 21:50, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
- Well, with sources about old information, I think it's a bit hard trying to find websites with archives that far back. The absence of information about their music -- you're right -- how should the article be set up to include that information? For the critics, I don't know how many native Korean speakers contribute to the English article, but if one can find the articles to provide information, then that should be started/included. Oncamera 17:07, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

I took off the cleanup tag, as it's really not necessary. It's more about getting rid of the "fan" language and adding in references (which is why both of those tags are still up there). SKS2K6 07:47, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Cyanoacrylate drink incident

- Wow I didn't even notice that. The threat letter is a key part of the incident. I don't see why it had to be deleted. Is it because her surname was mentioned? As long as it is released to the public, there is no reason to exclude her name. I looked at page history, but I still can't find who did. mirageinred 01:10, 20 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] positions.
I just wanna say the position claims should be modified.
Hero: Baritenor, lead vocalist. U-know: Baritone, rapper, leader. Micky: Baritone, rapper. Xiah: Baritenor. Max: Tenor.
Although the article claims U-know and Micky are basses, there technically are no bass vocalists in TVXQ.
Any opinions or confirmations are appreciated. Aznality 05:26, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
- I prefer it as it were before, with possibly U-KNOW being changed to baritone:
- Hero: Main Vocal
- U-KNOW: Bass, Leader
- Micky: bass-baritone
- Xiah: baritenor
- Max: tenor
Oncamera 12:55, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
^That sounds better than the current information provided at least. Is the person in charge of this section going to revert the info? I'm personally not satisfied with the 'high vocal' or 'middle high vocal' descriptions. Those are not proper vocal classifications, and they should be categorised accordingly. Aznality 21:20, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
- I changed it, then, to these positions. If someone thinks it should be listed differently, have them comment here with their reasoning. Oncamera 22:05, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
- It's better than nothing, although I have a grievance against the existence of positions mostly because they don't follow them in the songs. They just switch similar parts. SKS2K6 22:46, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
- Since they're sometimes an a Capella group, I think there needs to be something said about what roles their vocals have for the most part. Oncamera 03:28, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
- It's true they switch parts or sing at different keys from time to time. But their vocal ranges does not change. That's why their classifications determines their vocal type. Aznality 15:35, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
- Why does everyone insist on putting Max as "Baritone" and especially "Tenor"? His voice is the highest of the group, and is always given the high notes when assigned parts. You couldn't even call his singing voice "low", anyway. -Cassidy
- Hmm, Junsu seems to have the highest voice; even his speaking voice is higher than the other members. edit; so yeah, since he has the higher parts usually, I changed his position back to tenor. Tenor is higher than Baritone in vocal ranges, and I wouldn't consider any of the members alto or soprano. Oncamera 08:50, 24 November 2006 (UTC)

With regards to Yunho's voice, he should be classified as a Lyric Bass. His voice is also lower than Yoochun's (who is marked as a bass-baritone), so I really don't see why he would be a baritone.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.126.23.65 (talk) 11:29, February 26, 2007(UTC)

[edit] Images
As Wikipedia is more and more enforcing free (as opposed to copyrighted fair use) images, is anyone willing to take screencaps? :P Or even better, actual photographs?SKS2K6 08:10, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
- I can take screencaps (I'm not sure what you mean about actual photographs :/) Of every member individually, or the whole group? Do you have a specific time/interview/performance in mind? (Sorry if this sounds confusing, I'm very tired >.<) Sinbihaeyo 22:02, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
-
- Well, with Wiki policy, promotional shots are not good for articles. In a majority of articles, they're used, but they're slowly being deleted away. In their policy, it says that a picture merely showing someone's appearance is not good enough. So, for celebrity articles, personal candids are the pictures of choice, because they do not belong to a company...which is why I ask for them here. SKS2K6 22:45, 20 November 2006 (UTC)

-
- Changed the profile pics. These are pretty candid. I couldn't find a pic for each of them at the same ... concert? though i wanted to make it consistent. Yunho's is the most recent. Yukare129 01:12, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

- I wrote this at the bottom initially, but they're copyrighted. Someone else took the pictures. I think the group pic can stand, since there are no watermarks, but the ones with watermarks aren't acceptable. They're marked for a reason: someone owns them. SKS2K6 01:14, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

- I put the credits up, the pics don't really belong to one set person, they're just distributed throughout the fanbase. the watermark is I'm guessing just the site they were originally distributed or something like that. well, i got them from asianfanatics.net soooooo. yeah. i could put up the pics form the mag where the group pic was from, but you said no promotional pics. but, w.e you want.Yukare129 21:27, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

-
-
- Hehe...I think you misunderstand me. My point is that these pictures belong to someone. Sure, we can credit them, and we can say we got them from so-and-so, but that's not the point. Wikipedia has a policy to have absolutely free images, which (in the case of famous people) only come from people who have taken pictures and have uploaded them to share with everyone. If you look at Tyra Banks or Mariah Carey, you can see that. To be an absolutely accessible encyclopedia, you have to have absolutely free and accessible images as well. That's why they warn against finding pictures on Google. I mean, with movie posters and book covers, there's no way of making them free, so they're used under fair use. But as for people, you can (theoretically) always take pictures of them that don't belong to anyone. That's why I say the things I say. It has nothing to do with what I want (personally, I think we should promotional pictures, because they're promotional), but with Wiki policy. SKS2K6 21:33, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
-
-
-
-
So, does that mean by my uploading it here, its now free and accessable? because these pics are from a promo event but they are taken by peaople who uploaded it to share with everyone. i'm confused. Yukare129 22:38, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
- Oh my gosh. I had this whole explanation but I forgot to send it. Anywayz, these pics were uploaded to share with everyone, but THEY did not take the pictures, and therefore they are technically stealing from them. That's why the watermark is key, because it shows who owns it: mydaily (I think it's a Korean news outlet). Now, they may have a free-to-access site, and anyone can see or save the pictures, or even upload them elsewhere, but that's technically stealing, and because they own the picture, they can sue. Wiktionary is not a fansite, but an organization, and because its whole point is to be absolutely free and accessible and free-license and all that, it's a bit strict.
- That's why fan-taken pictures are the best, because the fan can release all rights to it and make it free for anyone and everyone to access it. Promotional pictures are accepted only if no other alternative can be found or made. Because anyone can take a picture of someone, though (you don't have a copyright to a body or a person's image), fair-use images are not really acceptable, and those pictures are often frequently deleted. Even though I personally think promotional pictures should be okay, because they're promotional and free, they're still owned by a company, and can't be used here. SKS2K6 02:43, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
-
- Ohhhhhhh, i understand now. but then, the pics aren't usually that great quality when they're fan taken... usually, sooo, should the profile pics be changed back? 71.125.155.111 03:15, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

- I took it out cuz it was getting messy :P if you want it back, just look for the and delete it. SKS2K6 17:40, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Host protectiveness
It is somewhat trivial, but I think it's important because it demonstrates the hugeness, and the protectiveness, of their fanbase. Game shows and talk shows are giving them preferential treatment that is not given to anyone else. They are allowed to avoid punishment, sit out on games, and are able to avoid questions simply because they're TVXQ. Other celebrities are afriad to harm TVXQ or embarrass them in anyway because they know that they'll be crucified by the netizens. SKS2K6 23:36, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
- Alright, add it back. I guess the fact illustrates the group's popularity among teenage girls in Korea. mirageinred 00:08, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Please cite!
Majority of anonymous users probably won't read this, but when adding upcoming events (i.e. custody battle over Hero and such), it must be accompanied by a reliable source! I can't go to Daum each time I see something that has no source! mirageinred 00:23, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Solo work
You guys did well in adding things, but I know Micky has a song written called Yuh-Oo-Bi (여우비) I'm pretty sure he composed it AND wrote the lyrics.
- He did, I'm sure, and it was on their 1st Live Concert Album. Also, Xiah composed and wrote the lyrics to "네 곁에 숨쉴 수 있다면 (White Lie)" that was included on C & D versions of "O"-正.反.合. Oncamera 02:38, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
-
- Yea, I should have mentioned that as well. On the 1st Live Concert Album there's also a song by Jaejoong (영웅개인기) 발걸음. I think it's him just singing Hannahlove 10:25, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
- Where is your source? mirageinred 20:15, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
-
- If someone owned the live concert album, I'm sure it would be in the album notes; but I do not, so I can't list a source. Although, with Xiah's song, it's stated on their official site (the balloons version) that he wrote and composed "White Lies". Oncamera 21:59, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
-
- I have the live version album as well as Micky's piano score of the song. The title on the CD track listing is (믹키개인기) 여우비(Like weather...) by Micky. These are the other two on the live CD(영웅개인기) 발걸음 by Youngwoong and (시야개인기)All Rise by Xiah. I just noticed Xiah's song, I just started listening to this album. Is that ok for a source? Hannahlove 1:25, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Rising Sun Chinese Version?
It isn't in the Discography topic. Check the discussion topic there for more info. Ytlow 12:04, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Please keep this article neutral
This is not a page to glorify the group. The point of the article is to present the group in a neutral, encyclopedic way. I also want to point out that the language used by anonymous editors are usually very informal. Tone used in wikipedia is not the same tone used when you are talking to your friend, not to mention that the edits are not usually accompanied with reliable sources. I also want to say that forums and fanlistings is NEVER allowed and frequent changing of pictures is not necessary. Maybe when a new album comes out but not on a near-monthly basis. mirageinred 20:57, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Solo work
I'd prefer the solo work to be back to its paragraph form, but...what do you guys think? And what happened to that info about Yunho's Japanese movie? SKS2K6 05:39, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
I changed Fox Rain to Like Weather..., since Fox Rain is just a made-up song title, whereas Like Weather... is official. Ytlow 16:25, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Awards
Wouldn't all the award criticism be better on the K-pop page? Although it does have a place here, as TVXQ is winning them, I think an awards section in k-pop would be better for all the references and whatnot. SKS2K6 05:55, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
- I agree; they seem to go off a little tangent here when it would be generally better to have them on the k-pop page. Oncamera 13:39, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
- Oh yeah, I didn't think about that. mirageinred 15:10, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] JaeHo Scandal
I honestly don't see why this needs to be in their article. Is it encyclopedic? What sources for it? It seems confusing, especially compared to the other scandals that have a lot more relevance. I say it should be removed. Oncamera 22:24, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
- deleted. it's really really irrelevant and minor. SKS2K6 22:54, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
- Although I tried to edit it to make it as much encyclopedic as possible, I just didn't get the point of the section. So the point of the section was that they might be gay together? mirageinred 23:30, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
- Basically, in the banjun drama, jaejoong believed yunho had a crush on him, and that made jaejoong confused. after that, they (in real life, that is) said that for a while, the two were uncomfortable around each other. That is all. SKS2K6 00:14, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Solo work
I have cut a lot of it down, because it was getting too much. Basically, I believe the boundaries should be this: the solo work should consist of work done outside of a group setting (so, excluding one-off performances, a solo song on a group CD, or a cover during a TVXQ concert). I mean, Xiah's duet with Zhang Li Yin is notable. Him singing a solo song on their own soundtrack album isn't. Agree/disagree? SKS2K6 06:29, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
- I agree, but what if they actually wrote and composed the song? Like Micky and the song "Fox Rain/Like Weather...?" I don't know, I remember hearing the song played on previews of their Vacation drama, even though it wasn't on the OST. Oncamera 06:39, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
- I don't know. Your call. It was just that people kept adding things in that were very minor. A cover song during a concert isn't solo work. But if they composed it and stuff.... Is it notable enough to include here? If you think so, then feel free to readd it. SKS2K6 06:59, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
- Eh, I don't really think so. I mean, it played as the background music to the official trailers, but since it hasn't been released, then it really doesn't exist as a solo piece, now that I think about it. Oncamera 07:09, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
- It's on the Live Concert Album. Although Yoochun does not "officially" sing it, he either composed the music or wrote the lyrics. Maybe both; I'm not too clear. But I'm pretty sure that he composed it, because he plays it at the end of the Finding Lost Time banjun (the one with Soohyun and Sungmin). Ytlow 12:00, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, but being on a the live concert album doesn't seem like it was noteworthy enough. I know it was played during the trailer of Vacation, being recorded with the whole band, but it hasn't been released on a significant album, like Xiah's White Lies which is mentioned in the paragraph about the third album. Oncamera 00:46, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] WHY is the name in Chinese?
Bottom line is DBSK/TVXQ is a Korean group, not a Chinese group. Therefor the name should be written in Korean, DBSK, not in Chinese, TVXQ. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Tinned Butterfly (talk • contribs) 23:26, 15 January 2007 (UTC).
- Their name is written in Hanja and their official site is tvxq.com. They want it like that, and they're the final word. on camera 23:33, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
- Check their albums. They say TVXQ on them. SKS2K6 03:22, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Micky's Hanja name
Isn't it 祕奇 instead of 祕器? Google search of 祕奇有天 brings up lots of results, while 祕器有天 brings up none, implying that 祕器 is incorrect or far less used than 祕奇. Would appreciate clarification.Ytlow 11:28, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
- Do you mean 秘 instead of 祕? It used to be "秘奇" before someone edited it on January 30, 2007 to "秘器" in the 2003 - 2005: Pre-fame and debut section... In the profile section, "秘奇有天" seems to bring up more articles related to Micky, so it should be changed throughout the article to show which one is more common. oncamera(t) 12:51, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
-
- With Google, 秘奇有天 brings up 28600 while 祕奇有天 brings up 29100. It would be hard to trace which one is official, but 秘器 is definitely wrong IMO. And yeah, I got my 祕 wrong; should be 秘奇有天. 秘奇 roughly translates to mysterious, for reference purposes. Ytlow 05:59, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] An article for a fanclub?
Fanclub article <-- I just noticed this around. Is this acceptable at all? Ytlow 16:16, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
- It seems more like an advertisement. Thank you for pointing it out. I don't think anyone would have noticed. I put it for speedy deletion. Let's see how it goes. mirageinred 22:27, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
- WOW. I can't believe this article was created in December and went unnoticed. mirageinred 22:32, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
- The article is now deleted. mirageinred 22:55, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Profile pictures revisited
The images for members (except for u-know and max maybe) are incorrectly and misleadingly tagged as free images. The image clearly says that the image is copyrighted to mydaily, which is some sort of korean newspaper. Thus they're not free images, and no, they don't belong to asianfanatics.net. The asianfanatics.net merely took the images that are copyrighted to mydaily.
The image policy in wikipedia is that unfree pictures that are solely used to identify the subject in question cannot be used anymore. Free pictures only. mirageinred 03:25, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

- Changmin's photo is from a personal fansite. It was taken by the lady nicknamed 'Butter' from 'You Got The Power'(http://yoooooougotthepower.com). I believe you need her permission. And although it is a good picture, I personally don't think it is the best picture to show who he is. (Fairyfloss0218 10:18, 5 March 2007 (UTC))
-
-
- It doesn't matter as long as it's free. Any free image (no matter how crappy) is better than an unfree one. Is that her personal website? I want to get her permission. mirageinred 20:24, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
-
- Um... is that the right website cuz it doesn't work. mirageinred 20:26, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
Please comment on the removal of three images that have unknown copyright status. Just scroll down and click the "comment" button on the images in the TVXQ article and look for the name of the image. They are sorted by date, and the images should be under March 5. mirageinred 21:07, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
The photos are copyrighted, so I took them off. When I put them up, I knew Wiki only allowed free images but, I just wanted more recent photos of them. Oh, well, I'm sure someone will find some free images for them... Yukare129 22:45, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
- Actually, I think Max's picture might be free after all since one of the users here claimed that some fan took the picture so it might be easier to get her permission, but I can't reach her through the website. mirageinred 23:31, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
- Nothing shows up when I type in http://www.yoooooougotthepower.com/. Does anybody know the e-mail address of the woman who took the picture? mirageinred 23:32, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] What happened to their debut album and Rising Sun?
Both albums were popular but little is mentioned about them. TVXQ has also won numerous awards but there is no section dedicated to their awards. I know little about the group. Can someone put it together? mirageinred 04:17, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fanclub
Is this section notable? mirageinred 22:32, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
- No, I don't believe so. If you want to mention what their fanclub is named in one sentence someplace, that would work too. oncamera(t) 22:50, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
