TVShowsOnDVD.com is a website dedicated to cataloging, campaigning for and reporting news about Region 1 (North America) TV-show-on-DVD releases. The site's slogan asks "Is YOUR Favorite Show On DVD?"

Started on November 1, 2001, the site has expanded to accept votes from registered members for over 8000 television shows throughout TV history, and contains information on over 5000 TV-DVD releases - including full-season, best-of and individual episode releases - as well as having posted many thousands of news articles relating to upcoming releases, reviews of TV-DVDs currently on the market, and sometimes a list of alterations (such as use of syndicated episode versions and music replacement) to various TV-DVDs. Users can create accounts to vote for which TV shows they would like to see on DVD and compile lists of the sets they own and want. The site currently receives over 75,000 visitors a day [1] and has official links with many major studios.

The site is very closely linked to Home Theater Forum [2]. The founder of TVShowsOnDVD.com, Gord Lacey, is a regularly posting member at the "HTF", and first encountered the site's news director, David Lambert, there. Without the support of HTF members, the site may never have gotten off of the ground. The HTF's "Software - TV Shows" section remains the official message board of TVShowsOnDVD.com.

The site has had several noted success stories. Studios have credited voting results at TVShowsOnDVD.com for the release to DVD of series such as SeaQuest DSV [3] and The Young Riders [4]. Site owner Gord Lacey intervened with studios on behalf of members and fans to improve several TV-DVD releases: Justice League - Season 2 [5]), alternate versions of episodes have been released (ER's 4th season "Ambush" [6]), and crossover episodes from other shows have gotten included (Magnum P.I.'s 7th-Season episode "Novel Connection" was included on Murder, She Wrote - The Complete 3rd Season, to tie in with the "Magnum On Ice" crossover episode) [7], for example. The site currently also maintains an RSS feed and a Blog.

At present time the Alexa Internet traffic rankings system lists TVShowsOnDVD.com as the most popular website there is for TV-DVD information [8] and the second-most-popular website for Region 1 DVD news and information [9].

On February 15, 2007, Gord Lacey announced that the site had been acquired by TV Guide.
