TVNZ News 24 is a tentative title for a 24 hour news channel to launch in New Zealand via the FreeView digital television platform. It will be produced by Television New Zealand, which has received Government funding to launch this channel, and will be launched along with another channel in 2008.

It will feature news updates on the hour, every hour. 80% of the content will be local, with the remaining being international; 50% of the content will be original. The channel will be commercial free, however some programs will be sponsored.

Not much else is known at this stage.

The channel was confirmed by TVNZ CEO Rick Ellis on November 14 2006.
