Is this just a personal opinion, or are there viewing figures or something else to back this up? --Gabriel Beecham/Kwekubo 22:12, 30 Jan 2005 (UTC)
Yeah, it is on their web page. Try to read stuff sometimes...
- How does TV5 claiming to be something make it nessacerily so.
- Sure, I get TV5 on my cable (Ireland), and its on my digital satellite (British company, Irish service). But generally the three channels you get everywhere are: MTV, CNN, and BBC World. Or, in the UK and Ireland, the real BBC. Not TV5. After that, Sky News is pretty endemic now, as its a bit more reliable and trustworthy than CNN, and has better localised feeds. [edit] Aillagon
My understanding is that Aillagon has been fired recently because he was displeasing Chirac. Can anyone confirm ? Hektor 16:28, 17 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] About the old logotype
The caption claims that this was the logotype of TV5 from 1984 until 1995. However, I recall that there was another one in use for the first years. Something that resembled a stylized satellite in the form of the name of the channel. I think the one featured in the article came along somewhere 1987 or 1988... Not a big issue, but still interesting. Anyone who remembers what I'm talking about? --Aatox 16:29, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
