TV-U

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

TVU is a television network, owned by Spirit Communications, that supports Christianity by playing safe, clean music by some of the most popular Christian bands (Relient K, Sanctus Real, Ally and AJ etc.) and some secular bands that contain Christian members, such as Switchfoot (originally Christian before entering the "scene") and Flyleaf.

The television network was started in 2000 and raises enough money so they can do programming without commercials. All the programs on the station are associated with TVU. The programs are like separations of the different kinds of music. One program is OneMil (rap music). TV-U is available in high quality streaming video over the internet and as part of the Sky Angel home satellite network. TV-U is also available in select cable and broadcast markets.

Also, they have breaks in between some music videos called "If TVU Had Commercials" where they will make fun of products like games and medicine.
