[edit] Changing name of an article

You need to click on the "move" tab at the top of the page and enter the new name and your reason for moving it. Regarding the Gekko Emulator article, I would check first whether it should be Gekko (emulator) or Gekko (Emulator). I'm not sure what the standard format is, but I would lean toward the first. Leebo86 15:04, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

I agree. "emulator" should be lower-case as it is not a name. Fan-1967 17:36, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re:Sorry

It "affects" me as much as anyone else to be personally attacked. I don't allow it to affect my decisions when editing, but it's an official policy at Wikipedia, so I'm reminding you in the hopes that you won't say such things to other editors. Leebo86 16:31, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

It's your prerogative to "give up" if you so choose, but the burden is on the editors who wish to include the information to properly cite it with reliable sources. I've asked for this and no one attempted to add any. I'm not an administrator. I can't delete anything. I initiated a discussion, and the current consensus in the discussion is to delete it. That could change if you address the issues, but it won't otherwise. Leebo86 16:37, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re:Curiosity

I don't think it's fair that I should have to explain my actions, since I always follow Wikipedia policy, and I strongly believe in the betterment of the encyclopedia, but I'll answer you be cause you seem to be confused about the perceived "attack" on your page in particular. I believe I said it before, but I'll say it again; deleting an article is not a statement about the creator or the subject, it's a process to meet the standards.

  1. I can't delete anything, because I'm not an administrator. If you're curious about how many discussions I've participated in for deleting articles, I can tell you it's clearly going to be far more weighted toward deletion for anyone participating in XfD discussions. I've personally started 3 articles (working on a 4th) and I've tagged or discussed the deletion of hundreds. I'm sure that was your point, to somehow prove that I go out my way to remove other editors' contributions. That's not the case; we have standards, and 99% of the articles I've tagged don't even come close to meeting them (stuff like "Hey, I'm Jim and I just made my own Wikipedia article about myself!"). It's not a fair comparison to make, and it's going to be the same for most people who contribute to those discussions. Additionally, I make many edits to existing articles.
  2. As indicated above, I'm a regular editor. I take part in discussions such as those at articles for deletion regularly, not just yours. But I have no ability to delete articles, just the ability to tag and discuss them like anyone can.
  3. My purpose at Wikipedia is to assist in building a large and reliable encyclopedia. To that end, I contribute content when I can, and I assist in removing content that does not meet that distinction.
  4. Azureus is a RAM hog, but I like the interface and have a lot of RAM, so… yes? Leebo86 20:18, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Tags

Any other important tags would be helpful. Please post them here ( not on my user page) *~TusharN~* 13:47, 8 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] I get it, you don't like people who delete articles

Why not put this on your userpage instead of implying that removing content is "bad". You can also find more userboxes here. Leebo86 14:52, 8 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Attention !

I TusharN, am going away on a school trip for 7 days. During these deven days, i would appreciate it if no one adds "prod" tags to my articles, as you people are soooo fond of doing. I will return on the 15th of February 2007. DO NOT TAKE ADVANTAGE OF MY ABSENCE ! That is not the honourable way... i guess... *~TusharN~* 07:56, 9 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re:How?

If you click on "my preferences" at the top of the screen, you'll see that one of the boxes you can fill in on that first tab is for your signature (you probably knew this since yours is customized already). In my box, I have HTML code to make my sig look like this. This is what it says: <font color="#00688B"><b>[[User:Leebo86|Leebo]]</b></font><small><font color="B22222">[[User_Talk:Leebo86|86]]</font></small>. You'll need to know some basic HTML to do it, but you can look at mine to get a better idea. Leebo86 12:23, 9 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Article parodies

Hi. You asked a while back about writing parody articles. If I may, I'd direct you to Uncyclopedia, where parody, absurd and humorous articles are asked for. I have also spent a fair amout of time there, however have not contributed much or anything for the past months. Cheers, Ouro (blah blah) 19:53, 28 February 2007 (UTC)

Hi. No problem, have fun over there! Cheers, Ouro (blah blah) 16:55, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re:Advice me...

My advice would be to remove the list of products, and tone down the way you describe the hospital. The part about "care, not just cure" sounds like something you'd hear in an ad for the hospital. Basically, your article should focus more on the significance of the company rather than what they sell. I suggest adding some information from articles written about the company. Have they been featured in any newspapers or industry magazines? How about making a "History" section? Those would probably help. Leebo T/C 13:53, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
