[edit] History
Tuscarora High School is a relatively new school. In 2003, Tuscarora opened its doors to the classes of 2006 and 2007, bringing the school to half capacity. As of November 2006, the enrollment was 1,496 students.
On Tuesday, May 16, 2006, Tuscarora High School received the first bomb threat in its history. Students were told to stay home, and those who had already arrived were quickly bused to other area schools. Students were allowed to return only after officials had cleared the building of any threat.
[edit] Teams and Activities
Tuscarora has many extracurricular sports teams and clubs. Its Marching Band achieved outstanding honors at the ACC Championships in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and was ranked number 15 in the entire Eastern United States (2005). Also, the girl's varsity soccer team won two back to back Maryland state championships. In addition, a very strong basketball and boys soccer team help to complement Tuscarora's athletic field.
[edit] Notable Students
Tuscarora had its first graduating class in 2006.
