From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Turner Museum of Glass is housed in the Department of Engineering Materials at the University of Sheffield's Mappin Street Campus in Sheffield, England. It is one of the United Kingdom's most interesting displays of glass, and is unrivaled in its collection of glass from the 1920s to 1950s.

It was founded in 1943 by Professor W.E.S. Turner[1][2] of the University, who additionally was the senior author on many papers on glass technology [3].
