The Woodford Reserve Turf Classic Stakes is an American thoroughbred horse race for horses ages three and up and run on Derby Day at Churchill Downs. The race is a major springtime turf event raced at a distance of one and one-eighth miles for a purse of $400,000. Formerly known as the Early Times Turf Classic Stakes, and now the Woodford Reserve Turf Classic, it is a major springtime turf event raced at a distance of one and one-eighth miles for a purse of $400,000. It has been a grade I event since 1998.
