Turbo Esprit
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Turbo Esprit is a 1986 video game for the ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64 and Amstrad CPC published by Durell Software. In the game you patrol the streets in a Lotus Esprit chasing drug smugglers. The game was very detailed and advanced for its time, featuring car indicator lights, pedestrians, street lights and a view of your cars interior controls. It may also be the earliest example of a free roaming city environment to feature in a computer game. It has been suggested that the game was the earliest influence on titles such as the Grand Theft Auto series.
