Tur Langton

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Tur Langton is a village and civil parish in the Harborough district of Leicestershire, England. It is near Kibworth, and the parish according to the 2001 census had a population of 199.

Tur Langton is also the home to the infamous Double H, Jim and Wag. In 2006 the Address Main Street, Tur Langton was declared the most desirable in Leicestershire. (based on average house prices.)

Tur Langton is a very quiet place, we won a few games in the local villages competition between Tur, East, West, Thorpe and Church Langton cricket tournament, held at East Langton.

Recently Tur Langton was declared Capital of the Langton Villages, as it is the best in very many ways.

Tur Langton's youths keep the local pub running, The Crown; which benefits incredibly by its underage drinking culture. (probably the only reason it is still open)

But recently an influx of chavs, believed to be from Kibworth and the council estate in nearby Church Langton, have ruined the accessibility of the Crown to the youths of Tur Langton.

The Crown Drinking Society, a small group of Oakham School 7th form (2006-7) use the pub as a gathering place now and again for events such as the 6 Nations and the Football World Cup.

Overall, Tur Langton is the next London, or Dublin if you are Irish.

We also have a PROTESTANT church, but no one goes.
