Tunis Campbell

Tunis Campbell (1812-1891) Born on April 1, 1812 in Middlebrook, New York. Campbell was a prominent African American politician of the 19th century, and a major figure in Reconstruction Georgia. He served as a Justice of the Peace, a delegate to the State Constitutional Convention, and as a State Senator. He died in Boston, on December 4, 1891.
