Tunica albuginea

Tunica albuginea is an anatomy term that literally means "white covering." It is used to refer to several structures, including:
- Tunica albuginea (penis): The tough fibrous layer of connective tissue that surrounds the corpora cavernosa of the penis.
- Tunica albuginea (testicles): A layer of connective tissue covering of the testicles which lies just deep to the visceral layer of the tunica vaginalis and enters the posterior of the testes forming the mediastinum testis.
- Tunica albuginea (ovaries): The connective tissue covering of the ovaries.
- Tunica albuginea (spleen): The fibroelastic coat covering the spleen.
