Tun

Tun can be:
- An old British measurement of liquid.
- A large cask for liquids, especially wine.
- A measure of liquid capacity, particularly one equivalent to around 252 wine gallons (954 litres).
- A large cask, particularly one holding a volume equivalent to 2 butts, or 252 gallons.
- An insulated vessel with a false bottom used in brewing, as in lauter tun or mash tun.
- A Malay title, or honorific
- The German verb meaning "to do."
- The Maya language word for unit of time in the Maya Long Count calendar, equal to 360 days or 18 winal (a 20 day cycle). See tun.
- A river in Thailand
- TUN, a virtual network device driver
- An Old Norse word describing a homestead, or settlement, still used in Norwegian. Evolved in English to "town", but the word "tun" is Northern English dialect for town, as in Newcastle United's supporter club: the "toon army".
- A drum, used in the music of French Guiana
- TUN, abbreviation for Touro University Nevada.
