Tuminello

(born in Detroit, MI, August 18, 1976) is an Award-winning painter.
David Tuminello inspired by the mafia movies created the Sicilian Mafia series in 2001. Since that time he has created a total of seven pieces for this series of work that has risen him international prominence, selling hundreds of limited prints around the world. In 2004 David's art was featured at the Billboard Music Awards in 2004. He is also well known for surreal and dark artwork.
For most of his career, Tuminello has worked predominantly in oil and acrylic, depicting surreal, lucid landscapes with many symbolic and subliminal focal points. His most distinctive stylistic innovation is that of a visualization of lyrics from the band TOOL. His paintings often display subliminal imagery and are considered offensive by some. His main influences were painters Giger and Salvador DalĂ.
