Tumba Francesca

La Tumba Francesca is a traditional cultural dance and style of that emerged in the eighteenth century in Cuba. It combines music from West Africa and traditional French music. "Tumba" derives from "tambours", which is French for drums. It is an Haïtian drumming style that is a very vibrant and exciting sound, often accompanied by trumpets, usually played by Cuban bands. The clothes of the dancers are colorful and flamboyant.
