Tuff E Nuff
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Tuff E Nuff, known in Japan as Dead Dance (デッドダンス Deddo Dansu?) is a 1993 Super NES fighting game produced by Jaleco.
[edit] Plot
The story is set in a post apocalyptic Earth in the year AD 2151. To the inhabitants on Earth it seems like the only chance for a decent life is to fight, in a "Survival of the fittest" scenario. A man named Jado finds a powerful blue fighting suit and calls himself "The Fighting King". With it, he quickly gains control of the world. Using his newfound power, he erects a tower with six guards. Many tried to take Jado's power away, but unfortunately, they lost their life in the attempt.
Some weeks after the erection of the tower, a tournament was held all over the world to see who was the strongest. Of the many tournaments only four people were chosen. Now they need to fight each other to see who's going in the tower.

[edit] Gameplay
Dead Dance is a one to two-player game originally for the Super Famicom. The Game starts you off with only four characters, but a Boss Code (English Version, do not know about Japanese) can let you play with the other seven characters. The game has three modes: Story Mode, 1-Player to CPU Mode, and Multiplayer Mode. The fighting engine is a traditional style, 4-button engine. the B and A buttons are the kicks, being light and fierce respectively, and the Y and X buttons are the punches, light and fierce respectively. All characters have at least two special attacks, but only the four main characters' specials can evolve over story mode, leading to the fact that they are actually able to do what the story clams impossible.
There are 10 stages in story mode, where you play the role of either Syoh, Zazi, Kotono and Vortz. After picking your character, you must fight the other three in a tournament-style fashion. After you fight the other heroes, you must then fight the six guards leading to Jado. After fighting Jado, you get an ending (Japanese Only!!!) followed by a screen saying to go to hard mode, or congratulating you for beating hard mode. After beating hard mode, you get the closing credits with a clip of your battles with the enemies you faced.
