Tu'i Pulotu

The Tu'i Pulotu believed to be the head of an ancient group of people that settled in Pulotu during the Lapita period (2,500BC to 3,500BC.The Island of Pulotu is an island or a place located in Fiji (north-west of Tongatapu). It is referred to in Tongan oral traditions as the motherland or place of origin. It is here that some believed that Tongan culture and it's people developed and evolved out of the ancient Austranesian/Lapita culture that migrated from south east Asia through Taiwan, the Philippines, PNG, New Caledonia, Vanuatu and Fiji 8,000BC.
