Tsukuba City

Tsukuba City is a small city in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan. Nicknamed "Science City", it is respected as the capital of scientific research and development in Japan. It is home to the headquarters of NASDA, the Japanese space agency. Foreign scientists living and working in Tsukuba make up more than 4 % of the city's population, approxiamately 140,000 people.
